Sample Packs: What am I buying?

Our sample packs contain royalty-free sounds, MIDI and/or presets created for you to use in your own musical compositions. Any product bought from UNDRGRND SOUNDS is purchased under a LICENSE agreement. This means you do NOT take any ownership of the sounds or files themselves, instead it grants you the license to use the files within your music compositions. You can read our full license agreement in any download.

How can I use the sounds and files I have purchased?

When you buy one of our packs, you have purchased the right to use the licensed sounds in any of your musical compositions - commercial or otherwise. You have the right to release these commercially and collect royalties without any additional payment or royalties to UNDRGRND SOUNDS. As the individual sounds are licensed to you, you cannot use them in isolation or distribute them as part of a commercial project. For example you cannot sell the individual sounds as part of other sample packs or to third parties. Again, you can read our license agreement in full here.

Do you offer free samples?

Yes, if you sign up to our mailing list then you will get regular free downloads from UNDRGRND SOUNDS as well as exclusive discount offers and additional content.

What formats do the sample packs come in?

All UNDRGRND SOUNDS sample packs which contain audio files are sold in industry-standard 24-bit 44.1 KHz Wav, Apple Loops and Rex2 format. We also include MIDI files for melodic elements as standard. We also create synth preset packs for Sylenth1 and NI Massive. A typical UNDRGRND SOUNDS pack would include a mix of loops, one-shots, MIDI files, sampler patches for Ableton, Kontakt, NN-XT and ES24. If you are unsure about the contents of a sample pack then check the product breakdown information on the bottom lefthand side on any individual product page.

How can I work with you?

If you think you can create high-quality and inspiring sample packs then we want to hear from you! We’re always looking to meet like-minded people who share our passion for making music and underground electronic music culture. So send us your samples and/or music links to our email we'll be in touch.

How do I download one of your Kontakt libraries?

1. Redlight our Kontakt instrument comes in a standard zip download. Unzip this file and simply drag in the .nki instrument file into your browser in order to download.

2. To make full use of the instrument makes sure you copy and paste the snapshot files into the right location on your computer. On a mac this default is - Documents/Native Instruments/User Content/Kontakt - but if you open the instrument option tab on the redlight .NKI you should have no problems locating exactly where to place the files
